98 squeal

have a noise like a belt s;ipping at the flywheel,torque converter. does it at idle in park and on the road (intermittent),ran without belt thus elimenating pulley problem. definitly at the converter area.

Have you checked the trans fluid level when engine is warm?

You need to put this car on a rack and remove the cover for the torque converter to listen for where the noise is coming from. Most transmission shops will do this for no cost, as a service to give you an estimate on repairs.
