First off i'm just starting to get into auto audio so i'm a newbie.
I have two MTX Thunder 7500 and Two JL Audio 10w1v2 hooked up. The combined wattage is 1400 Watts. I have them connected to a 1600W Z Edition AMP. When I turn it up past volume 5 on my stero it shuts the subs off. I also have connected to them a Metrik MC-165 1.6 farad digital power capacitor. I was under the assumption the AMP would be enough to power the 4 subs. Am I doing something wrong? Is there more to this system installation then I know. Any help greatly appreciated. |

Re: Why do my subwoofers keep shutting off?
you most likely have the subs wired to too low of an impedance along with having the input gain set too high
