Front Bearing/Hub bolts

I attempted to replace both my front hub/bearings today. Heres the problem, one of the bolts was partially rounded off already, I finished it the rest of the way trying to get the dang thing off. How can I get this bolt out now? Any other suggestions?

Ok, after you do this get another nut for it. Take some good visegrips, make sure the longest part of the grips is on the bottom side, and the part you push down on them is on the top side, keep playing with the part you turn on the end until you can get it to where it's tight as can be. Example, turn it clockwise, try clamping the grips, if you can't clamp it, turn it counterclockwise a bit and keep doing this until you get it where you can clamp it but it takes alot of energy to clamp it. After this you need to find a long sturdy pipe that will fit over that long part of the grips that has the adjusting knob on the end. After you do this pull up, hopefully if it's good and tight it won't slip.

You will need a big set of vise grips to do this, you might also be able to try a big pipe wrench instead.

I thought you was talking about the center nut. Just regular visegrips should do the trick.

Which bolts is it exactly are you talking about, are they in a spot you cannot get visegrips on them?

I think you might need a damaged remover set. Sears,Napa,and other parts stores carry them.

Write back first with which bolts it is. Is it your caliper bolts? You should be able to get it out with some visegrips without buying special removers as long as you can get to whichever bolt you are talking about with ease.

Its one of the 3 bolts that holds the front bearing hub on. its the one on the drivers door side.

Have you tried visegrips?

I've switched between US and Metric six point impact sockets and tapped the socket on with a hammer. Use a propane torch and heat up sometimes they use lock tight.

Excellent advice, that reminds me one time I cut out a section of a soda can and wrapped around a bolt head and then hammered the socket over it and it worked to get the bolt out.
