Exclamation Blown motor in 2.4L alero removal help needed

hi i got a 2000 alero with a 2.4l 5speed. yesterday the motor went... thinking its a bearing or conecting rod. i need a step by step engine removal and any helpfull hints on doing this would be nice. pictures are nice to . thanks for your help!

A Haynes manual for your vehicle will walk you through the process and also has pictures. They aren't expensive and you can find them at advance auto parts or autozone. I would advise getting one of those first to have handy and to come here for any questions you have that the book doesn't describe well. I usually get a Haynes manual for every vehicle I buy. Sometimes they do have some inaccurate information however but for the most part they are right.

you can also check the autozone website. They have lots of how-to's listed free of charge.
