94 Ob1 trouble

Hello I have a 1994 Trans am with the Lt1 motor. Problem is that when connecting a Diagnostic tool up to it,it does nothing. U can hear it kick on the fan or PCM iduno like it trying to do something.But it won't start flashing numbers just stay soild or not appear.Heard that if the cigar lighter fuse is burnt out it wont work but that is fine. Dealing with that OB1, its to bad cause i have the ob2 from past vehicles. Thanks a lot

Your 94 is a OBD I hybrid (GM's answer to the crossover to OBDII), you'll need a OBD II scanner capable of reading this type system (mid 94-96).

Where would u find something like that besides going to the dealer and paying 80 bucks a shot haha. Auto Zone ? thanks alot
