1.8turbo replacement help

The oil seal in my turbo disintegrated and blew oil throughout the intake system of my 2003 Jetta 1.8t. I have replaced the turbo and the catalytic convertor (because it smoked ALOT, and mechanic diagnostic @ Midas said it needed replaced). I also cleaned out as much oil as I could from the intercooler and all piping for it. Now the car is hard to start whether it's cold or warm. (read hard to start as almost impossible...) What am I missing? Thanks in advance. -jt

Are the spark plugs clean. dry, and almost white - like a beige color? Also they should be replaced periodically anyway.
