a little direction please!

Ok so i have been doing my homework and have figured out that my TCC is going out or is out on my '94 automatic cavalier.Their were a few of the same stories in the forums back in 2005 about my car stalling out when i would come to a fast long stop usually off the free way.The only problem i have is finding info on the TCC.My dad can fix it if he can get a little direction on where it's located and just the basics so if anyone can send some well needed help it would be greatly appriciated i have been driving this car like this going on a year now and i have just learned how to stop nice and slow but my body stiffens up everytime i have to come to a stop.Oyea and one more thing when it does stall out it starts right back up until i put it into gear then it will die again, but eventually after a few tries goes into drive and goes like nothing was ever wrong.
Thanks,
grlluvsoil
