carbon cleaning idea

Hi everybody, I was thinking about this idea to clean carbon around the intake valves and top of piston heads, but would like your opinion on this if you think this would work or not.

1. remove upper plenum
2 remove injector rail and injectors
3 remove both valve covers
4 remove all intake valve's rocker arms (all intake valves will be closed now)
5. remove all spark plugs

cleaning solution:
- 2 cans of sea foam
-3 carb cleaner sprays

6 pour one 1/6 of sea foam can into each of injector holes
7 pour 1/6 of the other sea foam can into each of spark plug holes
8 let it sit over night
9 next day install rocker arms
10 rotate crankshaft bolt so that cyl #1 will be at TDC now use carb cleaner with a straw to clean the cyl#1 through the spark plug hole (try to go into circle as much as possible) when #1 is at TDC two other cylinders will be at TDC also (not sure which exactly) so clean the other two, then bring #2 to TDC and clean them with carb cleaner the same way, use other two carb spray cans to clean intake through the injector hole (tape the straw to the can) bring the straw as close as possible to the intake valve and spray in circle. Repeat this for each intake valve.
11. disable ignition (disconnect crankshaft connector at the ICM.)
12. crank the engine several times so that dirt comes out of the spark plug holes
13. change oil.

I think that the sea foam will be able to loosen up carbon over night and carb cleaner will clean everything that is left (I hope)
If someone has better idea let me know.

Cool Re: carbon cleaning idea

Unfortunately thats an awful lot of work that is going to require an oil change and is completely unneccisary. what you'll find in doing this is the potential to score cylinder walls and create a no start condition. I am an ASE certified automotive technician and see this type of thing often. Best advice is to find a facillity that offers BG(R) products and ask for thier 3 part fuel treatment. should cost around $130 (which is less than the cost of all of your parts) takes about 45 minuets and is going to give you better results.
