Wrecked 1996 camaro

I bought a 1996 Z28 Camaro that had been totaled. However, the drive train was in great shape and received no visible damage in the accident. I am trying to get this thing running before I disassemble it but it will not start. The engine turns over but there is no fire. I hit it with a small shot of ether to see if there was any life, and there was nothing. Tried my friendly neighborhood dealer and they are not interested in helping. Any suggestions?

If it's not starting with either, you're not getting any spark. Did you get the original keys with the car?

Re: Wrecked 1996 camaro

I appreciate you getting back to me. I did get the original keys and the girl I bought it from told me it had been running fine. At one time I had heard of devices on some of the newer vehicles, anything newer than 1980 is new to me, had fuel pump shut off that had to be reset after an accident. I thought maybe thay had started incorporating inginition into that system as well but no one seems to know about that.
