Tires
Anyone running LT tires on their half ton Silvy's instead of P series tires? Have BF Goodrich's on my truck in load range C in LT series. Looking to purchase some OEM aluminum rims and was wondering if going LT is worth it.

since 2000 I have been running firestone LT load C tires on my 1500 silverado 4X4....the first set lasted 90,ooomi...so I replaced with the exact same tires that the vehicle came with in 2000 when I ordered it... because the 1500 is lighter than the 2500/3500 the C tires do not give the vehicle a harsh ride....as the load E tires would create...the LT tires do a great job in the snow,,never had trouble in deep snow... from talking to other truck owners the LT types do go longer on wear than the "P" passenger tires..... I'm not complaining as I never expected the wear I experienced.... rotate the tires every 10-13,ooo mi.... |

Re: Tires
Thanks for the info. I was looking at the Firestones as well. That's great wear you are getting too. That is the way i am going to go on my truck.
