Smile 92 f150xlt

first off im new to this site so if this ends up in the wrong spot im sorry.. but i have a 92 f150xlt with a 5.0 and heres the problem when the truck is started it dies unless i give it the gas to keep it running but once the truck warms up it starts and idles just fine.. can someone please tell me what this is.. it has new plugs/wires/air filter/cap.. ive been reading the fourms and wondering if its the (idle air control) and one other thing it is doing is when im driveing it at speeds between 55-60mph it feels like the motor is shuting off then back on agian its hard to explain how it feels no hard jerking just a loss of power then up and going agian does it a couple times then its fine if anyone can help thank you so much

I would pull the module and get it tested at Auto Zone or Advance. Warm it up with a hair dryer first.
The pickup in the distributor will cause this type of problem like turning the key on and off.
Your better off with Motorcraft parts. Google Thexton distributor tool if you change the pickup.
These are common problems on Ford's.
