1993 Lexus ES300

When ever you accelerate the engine (in neutral or drive) past about 2500RPM the check engine light comes on. Engine runs fine any idea on what this could be.

Thanks, Dan

Re: 1993 Lexus ES300

Pull the code first and let us know what it is. There's an easy way by shorting the TE1 and E1 terminals in the diagnostic connector when the engine is off and ignition key turned on. Then watch the check engine light. It will blink then pause then blink. The number of blinks between each pause indicates the first and second digits of the trouble code that is stored. It will continue to blink and pause until all of the stored codes have been shown, then repeat. There are service manuals stickied at the top of the forum that will decode the numbers you get. Post back with the codes so we can help.
