2000 Bonneville Transmission

I am having trouble with my Bonne. When I am using the cruise down the highway and the transmission needs to downshift it doesn't engage in the lower gear and then the motor revs up. Is this something electronic and could be an easy fix or is this possibly a more serious transmission problem. This does not occur every time but more often than not. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 2000 Bonneville Transmission

You need to have the trans scanned to see what the problem is, we could only speculate here.

Sounds like a possible TPS problem...

But I agree, the cars PCM should be scanned for codes and live data to see whats going on..
