Angry 2.3L ranger ticking problem

I have a 1995 2.3L automatic ranger with 138,000 miles and yesterday I heard a ticking noise towards the front of my motor (by my timing belt). Inno its not the lifters. Ive been on the forum all day and im still not sure. The ticking is all the time and stays the same loudness no matter what RPM's im at. Please someone help I need my truck everyday.

Re: 2.3L ranger ticking problem

It doesn't speed up when the engine is speeded up. ie. it ticks at the same rate all the time?
