2005 Chevy 2500 cd player help

My cd player will not allow me to eject, listen or change to another cd. At start up the cd light will flash and screen says initializing. How do I get the cd's out or to play?
Thanks

It is the factory six disk player. The cd light flashes and the screen says initializing.

if you have the access codes, try disconnecting the neg battery term - that should reset it. If you don't have the codes, you may not be able to get back in

Re: 2005 Chevy 2500 cd player help

I've got a 2004 GMC Yukon with the 6 disc cd changer and mine was doing the same thing. I took the stereo out which wasn't bad at all. The dash cover pops right out and the stereo only had three bolts. I then took the top of the CD player off. There's one small bolt at the back of the stereo and then you just pop the top off with a screw driver as there are prongs holding it on. Then I took wire cutters and cut the stuck CD's out. I only did this as a last resort before taking it to the dealership. I was a little suprised but that actually did the trick.

Re: 2005 Chevy 2500 cd player help

Seems serious, you'd better turn to the after sale service for help, if lucky, may replace or new one, or at least repair it for you. Is it out of warranty period? By the way, what's your CD player's brand and item. For me, I use this link removed by Moderator, unauthorized advertising, quite good for use nearly one year. When I met questions, their customer service is very prompt to reply, and have 2 years warranty. I love this DVD player and Eonon. I bought from here, link removed
