Re: removing door panels to replace speakers ('97 lumina)
I just replaced my window motor and switch. There's 5 screws. One is at the door handle. Remove this first and disconnect the door lock switch. The other it a hex bolt head in the door handle where the window switches are. This will let you remove the handle in a rearward motion. There's a little plastic lip that holds the handle on the side closest to the hinges. Then there are 3 screws. One up by the mirror and 2 self-tappers on each side lower, right along the panel edge. Lift the panel in an upward motion. There is 2 plastic hooks, so you have to lift upward so you don't break them. Once the door panel falls off, you can disconnect the wires/switches and set it on the side. The speakers are then exposed. Good Luck
