Cool wiring

Hello l have a 1994 chevy 1500 pickup 4x4. just bought this truck. when you press the brake or use any lights or press the buttons for the windows the radio goes out then goes back on. l took the radio out to check the radio harness. but its still doing it. disconnected the hot wire memory wire and ground wire from the harness and put it direct to see if it will work but still goes out when you press the brake etc etc etc l think it has to be the wiring harness to the truck please does anybody know what could be the problem THANKS

this is an old rust belt vehicle,,,,the rust and corrosion of the ground points on the entire vehicle must be cleaned and reinstalled...

then after the problem is repaired/corrected coat these ground points with a good undercoat.....solvent based,,,not water..

Re: wiring

You were right it was the ground wire next to the battery. the small wire that connects to the fender. they put a new fender and never connected the wire to the fender. the small wire from the battery was connected to a small wire coming from the dash but never grounded to the fender thats why l was having the wiring problem. the dash the radio any thing l turn on was turning off and going back on

thank you for the reply on this issue...many will view your results and others will be aided by this..

on newer vehicles these bad grounds , cause many to spend a lot of money, replacing parts because of mechanics lack of electrical knowledge...

body shop repairers are the worst..
