Hood Scoop

I know this might be a stupid question but I have a carbon fiber invader hood . It does have a scoop on it but I am worried water is going to get into the engine. Some people told me that it will not affect my engine but I really don't want to take that chance because I have the wierdest stuff happen with my car.

Something will give out and then a couple of weeks later start working fine again. So with this said is there something that I can buy to cover the hole from under the hood?

Here is my hood. As you can see when it does rain or whenever I wash my car it's like the scoop was made for water to go in. There is nothing blocking the water from going in even though you can't tell it's just mesh there.

I really want to put it on but I do NOT want anykind of water getting in.If there is nothing made to cover it or If there isn't a way I can make something to cover it I will have to sell it :-(

You can put a layer of fiberglass over it. Thats really about it due to the heat of the motor. Fiberglass and fiberglass resin is all you'd need to do. Hell one layer would be enough. Just be sure to tape off the other side really well so the resin doesn't come through.

Or cut a piece of tin, paint it black on both sides and epoxy around the edges to form a seal...

Just gotta use your head and be creative.

My post really has very little to add to the conversation, just wanted to say that it's a sexy hood/car.
