In addition to 27R, now officially on the market ...

For the commited/commitable(!) McLaren fan, Cars International also have The McLaren Communications Centre for sale!

Re: 27R IS now officially on the market.

I had this emailed to me a couple of weeks ago from Cars International. Must be worth a fair few £'s, especially as 6 tractor units are included. I bet an existing race team will take it on, can't see an individual wanting to buy it (unless Rowan / Paul Knapfield fancy it, or even Flemke - would make a gerat holiday home near the 'ring )

Re: Greatest Ever: The McLaren F1

Kinda cool but limited in what it can be used for. I wonder if they are keeping it in Kensington, i might have to go check it out on Thursday...

The Mews are kinda small, it certainly won't fit near the showroom. Maybe try their workshop near Newbury if you want to see it

And 6 tractor units to haul it! But when all is said and done, it'd look nice on my lawn in Scotland for the annual picnic! Just need to add an LM, a GTR and a Longtail in front off it to welcome and usher the guests in!

Good news gentleman. I was in Kensington last night and saw the sign for Cars international. So thought I'd have a quick look through the window. (Phone pics)

Recognise anything?

They also have this beautiful 300SL which I thought you might appreciate.

I'd love to be there when the get the cars out to move the around the showroom - #27R is always in a bad place for photo's [possibly deliberately so?] so to see it out in the Mews for a while must be a good photo opp

I have it on [very] good authority () that #27R is in a better position at the moment for a look-see; no longer tucked away at the back but now, same side of the showroom, but at the front .

1 million GBP doesn't seem an extortionate amount under current/climbing F1 values.

You need to bear in mind that a longtail is really only suitable for track use as Lanzante clearly advised me that to undertake modifying one for the road would result in a car that would be severely restricted as to what sort of roads it could be driven on.
