Engine pull update.
Got the engine out of my '99 Rodeo to investigate the knocking. Found number one rod bearing wasted. The good thing is, the rod journal is not damaged. Still within spec and the bearing didn't spin so the rod is ok to.
I'll be checking it out more to try to find the cause of the bearing being damaged.
