Brake upgrade for '04

I'm going to install some sort of forced induction system on my '04 cavalier, so I need to stop better. I'm curious how that would work though, because the part on the steering knuckle that holds the brake pads in place would allow for about a 1/2" larger rotor. Do the kits come with a new steering knuckle or what? I found a kit that sounds OK, but as always would like suggestions from others who have upgraded the brakes. I sent an e-mail to the site I found the kit on asking about it, and they didn't reply, so it looks like I wont be buying from them.

Re: Brake upgrade for '04

BAER, Wilwood, SSBC make big brake kits.

Others have chose to do a NWF swap for their 12" brakes. Still comes out equal but replacement parts are cheaper in the NWF swap.

The big companies require the ears to be trimmed off the steering knuckle to fit their rotors and calipers. IMO -- Wilwood is the company to go with.

Re: Brake upgrade for '04

I like the sound of the NWF swap, probably end up doing that. Thanks.
