Caravan Lift!!??

I'm new to this forum, and to vehicle modification so bear with me..

I am the proud owner of a 1998 caravan with just under 94k. Haven't had any problems with the infamous tranny in it yet but expect to in the next few years. (I'll cross that bridge when my transmission falls out on it)

My question is this; would it be possible to outfit my caravan with a lift kit?
If so, what important things might I need to know?

Any help would be appreciated

Re: Caravan Lift!!??

Companies that convert them for wheelchair use sometimes lift them. So you might check in your area and see if there is a company you can get some info from.

Re: Caravan Lift!!??

Um... yea. Question why???? Its a minivan!!!!!! Ok if you really want to do this I would look for a truck or suv with similar wheel base length, take the frame from that truck and make mods to the frame and van to sit on that frame. or you cold use lift blocks in the rear ( put them between the axel and spring with new u-bolts) and make spaces for the top of the struts in the front.... How much do you want to lift it??
