Loud Thumping on driverside of car.

I have an '01 3.8L GT w/122,000 mi. When I drive faster than 30 mph I get hear a loud thumping sound. The faster I go the louder it gets. No experience with working on cars, but like this one and want to keep for a while. Can anyone throw some ideas my way? Also SES light is on and have replaced Cat. Converter and EGR in the last 1 1/2 yrs.

HELP!!!!

Sounds like you've got a rabbit stuck in your radiator and he's wantin' the hell out

Just kidding... Check your tires for Damage / Debris sound like you may have something stuck in the tire or maybe the tread has begun to separate

also check the plastic air dam at the front under the bumper, it could be loose.... also check any other plastic under the car, wheel liners, splash guards etc..

Get it scanned with an odb-ii scan tool/scanner and post the code(s) (DTC).

Welcome to AF MikeGT01

I agree with DC1263 that it sounds like a tire with a broken belt or that's out of balance .
