Timing cover
Is it possible to have a leak from the front of the engine. It looks like its coming from the timing cover. I took the power steering pump off to take a good look at but could'nt really tell. Thanks.

Re: Timing cover
It is possible. Water pump will leak too when its time for a new one. See my post and diagram here: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...ghlight=merc81

Re: Timing cover
Ah yes, the timing cover problem. I actually replaced my water pump gasket (98 Venture) and intake manifold gaskets a second time last month thinking that anti-freeze was coming from them again. Put it back together and water ran out the front of the engine... It could indeed be your water pump, but if it seems fine, mine turned out to be the timing cover gasket. Not a super easy job, but much easier than the intake manifold gaskets. We even had mine pressure tested at a radiator shop and they were baffled because it was spraying out underneath the water pump but not actually from the water pump. So if the pump is ok change the timing cover gasket as antifreeze does indeed run through there
