Power seat question

I just purchased a pair of seats from a Chevy pickup, full power both seats. I hooked the hot wire and ground wire to power source and the driver seat is dead. Nothing from any of the functions, seat bottom, seat back or the lumbar, side bolsters. I don`t think everything went out at once. So my question is is the brain/computer for the seats bad or is there something i`m overlooking? The passenger seat seems to work in all functions when checking the same way except the back/forward function. It went forward but won`t go backwards, so i`m thinking maybe a good switch cleaning may take care of that problem. Any ideas here?

Re: Power seat question

Well it looks like the memory function is the problem. It needs more than just a hot wire hooked up to make it work. I either have to find a seat track without the memory function or try to wire it up, which looks to be a huge pain.
