86 bronco full size its posessed

my 86 302 5.0 runs great while cold but after a few miles it starts spitting and sputtering. has no power and shuts down. any ideas would be great

I would check for spark when this occurs I've had problems with a module heating up and shutting the engine down. Advance and Auto Zone will check them for free. I use a hair dryer and heat them up before testing.
Take a 12 volt test light and put it on the coil negative it should blink when someone else tries to start the vehicle. If it doesn't the pickup in the distributor is probably bad.
Check the ground wire by the computer make sure its tight.
