02 Intrepid 2.7l to 3.5l conversion help

ok so i recently found a 02 intrepid with a junk 2.7(of course) for 400 bucks. figured hell a easy fix. Well wut i was wondering is i found a 98 Chrysler 300M with a 3.5L in it and i was told they would bolt right up. With no hesitation i bought the engine,(I have the whole car i can strip wutever i need) it was a steal 100 bucks car was smashed then used for a couple body parts but when i got in it Bam fired right up no noise no smoke. now I got the car today got the engine takin out already and I seen there are 2 connectors to the ecu where as my 02 has only 1. So i did a lil more research and just wondering if this is correct from what i understand the 98 3.5 will not go in the 02? i need a 02-04 engine? is this correct. Is there anyway too get this engine too work maybe do a head swap and use the long block only? if not no big to me since it was only 100 for trans engine wiring basicaly anything i need off the car. Can i still make this 98 3.5 fit in my 02(2.7) If so wut is required in doing so.
