catalytic converter removal

I have a 1999 chevrolet Silverado. the catalytic converter is pluged so I want to remove it. But from what i understand it that by doing that the ecm will go into closed loop or somthing like that. So is there a chip or mod i can buy that will improve gas milage and fix the sensor that will messed up by holowing out the cat??

Removing cat is illegal.

It is not in my best interest to tell you how to do something illegal.

Replace the cat if it is bad and tune it up.
Good Luck

you will need to replace the cat's,, but you must also repair the engine controls that caused this, then your MPG will return to normal..

the most common cause of your issue is O2 sensors that are well over 100,000mi...in use..there are other reasons like a poorly maintained coolant system where coolant is sent to the combustion chamber ..

the operation of/removal of these pollution devices can cause you to be fined...thousands of dollars..
