Intake Flutter

I have looked all over and I could not find an answer, so if someone finds one forgive me, but I put on an intake on my 99 GST and when I shift gears I here a flutter coming out of the filter, I am to understand this is Compressor Surge, but how do I correct it??

My BOV isnt recirculated, could that be the problem??

Or if I take my intake back off and put the stock box, will that help?????

Or is it STRICTLY just the blow off valve?????

Re: Intake Flutter

do you have the proper mods for having a VTA blow off valve. what bov are you using did you set the spring stiffness yourself? It could be compressor surge. I would def recirc that thing.

There's a little nut on top of the BOV. It may say Hard/Soft. That's what you want to adjust. I believe you would want to go soft because the BOV is set too hard and not venting quick enough (correct me if wrong).

You probably had compressor surge the whole time, but the hard pipes for the intake just make it more obvious.

Get a 1G BOV. Can find them on eBay for like $30. Can get some high end ones, like Tials and Greddys, but expect on paying over $200 for them.

Re: Intake Flutter

1g's were metal and the 2g's were cheap plastic the 2g's leak at a much lower boost presure then the 1g's ever would.
