Problem with battery-2002 Continental

Last time, because battery was quite low in power, I can't start it. The car was towed to a local lincoln dealer, and the dealer checked it, finding no problem and just charging the battery to recover my car.

However, after two weeks with almost no drive (only once during last two weeks), the car seems totally run out of electricity today again! The dealer didn't solve the problem at all.

Now I really doubt whether I should send the car to the same dealer for another time, or argue with the dealer. And what your guess is the problem with my car?

I think I may need to change a new battery. Where is the best way of doing this? Should I buy a new battery from somewhere else, say autozone, and take it to some where to change it? Or any recommendation for this?

Are you saying your having trouble with a new battery, or your contemplating getting a new battery?

Autozone has the latest battery testing equipment, they can check it for you while you watch and wait. Only takes a few minutes. Call first to make sure they can test it for you.

Also, if the battery is good and still losing all it's power over extended periods of non-use, you might have a voltage leak to ground, this normally happens with a bad diode in the alternator. Extended tests can reveal this too.

Let us know how you make out.

Hopefully that autozone could find and solve the problem and what I need is just a new battery!

Really worry about that there is something wrong with the car rather than the battery, which may be more complicated and cost me much more
