Re: T-IV Tranny Fluid

This may come as a surprise and evidently my friendly Scion dealer parts dept did not know the 08 Scion manual specifies WS tranny fluid. WS = World Standard which supercedes T-IV. I read a lot of forum discussions and one said they checked WalMart and the new Dexron VI SuperTec WalMart brand meets Toyota WS spec. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18.../supertech.jpg I reckon that proves it.
WalMart supposedly has the full syn Dexron VI but not at my local store yet.
Haven't had time to check around but I'm sure parts stores carry full syn tranny fluid that meets the WS spec.
Google Toyota WS Dexron VI and similar and you'll find lots of info. One forum said it's backwards compatible for use in much older cars as far back as 1984. Before I did that I'd do some serious research.
