I have a 2001 ragtop. Went to replace ragtop 2 years ago. Ordered and returned 3 genuine KIA tops. Replacements are obviously factory seconds, though KIA parts people deny this. Stitched seams are heat sealed, and on replacements, seams were overheated to the point that the vinyl (exterior of top) was melted and gone exposing cloth backing to weather. Then ordered aftermarket top(s). First one fit so loosely that it looked like a hammock. This top was replaced, and vendor said manufacturer had re-patterned top admitting that the first top was wrong. Second top was so tight that bow could not be put in rear "tensioned" position. I gave up! Now two years later I -HAVE- to replace the top, and hope someone has had better luck in finding a suitable replacement.
