Hi folks,
I need to replace the rear speakers in a '92 Shadow ES.. They're supposed to be 5"x7" however none of the current aftermarket 5x7's seem to fit. The mounting holes do not line up with the studs on the factory brackets. The set of Pioneer's that I picked up tonight were totally off. Part of the speaker frame hit the bracket, and the two studs on one side were basically in the cone region. Not even close to lining up. Are some sort of adapter plates required for these? Are there any direct fit speakers available? What the heck? Any help is much appreciated. I'm stuck riding around with no rear speakers until I find some that fit. Thanks.
