Question changing out a 2000 silverado rear end

I got to change out my rear end and i'm having trouble finding a used one. It has 3.73 gears, but a friend told me that a rear end from a 94 chevy 3/4 tone 6 hole would work. Could anybody tell me if it will bolt up and work right

I would call to the scrap yards, they have the info and parts....

where you live it may be limited, but in my area these scrap yards are well stocked..

using the 3.73 eaton locker is what you have most likely...this diff will fail if not properly serviced and , improper breakin before towing/hauling..
