Interference Engine Question

I'm wanting to upgrade my Trackers to some newer ones with 2.0L and V-6 engines and was wondering if these engines have timing belts or cam chains, AND if they are interference engines or not. I would appreciate the heads-up.

Re: Interference Engine Question

Indicates an interference engine that will suffer valve damage if the timing belt fails. As you can see the 4.0 is not listed as being OHC. My advice would be to call the dealer to verify this.
