rear brake problems again and again
I have a 2000 blazer 4 wheel drive v-6 4.3. I have had this truck for about 3 years now and I have had to replace the rear brake pads in it about four times since ive owned it. The problem is the inner rear pad on the drivers side always wears down rather fast and need replaced, BUT this is the only pad that wears down all the other rear pads are ok its just the drivers side inner rear pad. after the second time i replaced them I thought the caliper might be bad so replaced both them and the rotors in the rear. Now once again after about 6 months it is making that same squealing noise them grinding noise on the drivers side rear and the inner pad needs replaced again. Can anyone tell me what the problem might be for this to happen. I am getting tired of replacing these rear pads all the time. Onll replaced the front brakes once, its just the rear inner pad that wears away so fast all the time. This is driving me crazy.

Have you lubed the caliper slides? Does the brake pad drag after brake release?

Re: rear brake problems again and again
Like mt said it sounds like your caliper isn't sliding like it's suppose to, Did you buy a new bolt kit and greased them up good when installing them? If you hadn't that would be a good option that could help.

Re: rear brake problems again and again
I pull the rear brakes apart on my truck every 4-6 months to clean and lube. They get mucked up quite fast on these trucks.
