Is I possible to change ABS Booster without having too bleed brakes
I have a consistent hissing coming from my brake booster.The brake pedal is firm with the car off,but when on, goes down to the floor easily.I wanted to know was it possible to take off master cylinder,change booster and put back,without bleeding brakes.I have to go to the damn gmc dealer for these damn ABS brakes.
 I hate shops.

If you unbolt the master from the booster, and don't open any brake lines, you don't need to bleed the brakes.

There should be enough flex in the lines to allow movement to replace the booster. Just be careful not to kink the hydraulic lines and you should be fine.
