1996 DODGE ram door will not unlock or open

this one is weird

I have a passenger front door.
It is very difficult to unlock the door. if not impossible. When I use the lock it will not unlock although I can hear it try.

If I use the door handle inside the car. It will not unlock the door like it used to. To open the lock I have to take the key and quickly turn it very hard to open the lock.

Sometimes it take 5-10 minutes to get it to unlock

your locking mechanism might be getting stuck up. water tends to get past the seals on the window and leak down onto it. take the door panel off and take a look at it (if you can) to see if you can spot rust on it. usually this happens if its not used often.
