When Catnip Just Isn't Enough.....

Nebraska Man Stuffs Cat Inside Bong
Monday , March 02, 2009

OMAHA, Neb. —
A man who tried to mellow out his cat by stuffing her into a homemade bong is facing criminal charges—and catcalls from animal lovers. Authorities cited a 20-year-old man on suspicion of animal cruelty Sunday after catching him smoking marijuana from a contraption that had a cat stuffed inside its 12-inch by 6-inch base.

The man told Lancaster County sheriff's deputies the 6-month-old female named Shadow had been hyper and that he was trying to calm her down.

The cat was taken to the Capital Humane Society, where she appeared to be in good condition Monday, executive director Bob Downey said.

Re: When Catnip Just Isn't Enough.....

I wonder what his train of thought was when he came up with this idea. Some people I just don't understand. I've done some dumb stuff in my life but good god this is just plain retarded. If the cat is all hyped up put it outside. It's going to come back. As long as you have a collar on it with a good tag, nobobdy is going to steal it. If it doesn't come back it's probable because it was mistreated.

Re: When Catnip Just Isn't Enough.....

It had nothing to do with the cat being hyped up. It was just a loser that wanted to see his cat freaked out. There's nothing like seeing a cat freaked out! I used to do things to my cat...tape on his whiskers...shine a laser light for him to chase...tape on the bottoms of his paws...all kinds of stuff. But this is to the extreme.
