99 reved up and died
99 Grand Am with 4 cylinder reved up and died just as soon as we got home. Now it will not start.
The car had a rough idle when stoped and had cut off a couple of times while coasting down mountain. I had new plugs, wires, and coil pack housing just about 2 months before all this. What would make it idle up then die and not restart ?

Re: 99 reved up and died
Broken timing chain.
![]() A possible vacum leak, but it would have to be super bad to not start at all. Also check for spark. Even though you just replaced several ignition parts your crank sensor could also be the culprit. ANd make sure its getting fuel! Good Luck!
