1991 vw jetta

hey i have a 91 jetta 1.8l 8v 5 speed manual, it ran fine have replace, wires plugs and the rotor and cap, took to town on a dry day ran perfect let it sit for about 15 20 minutes now it just turns over, the fuel pump fuse is fine but cant here it click on plus no spark from coil? any ideas would be greatly apprieciated>?? thanks.

I had mine stop dead in it's tracks shortly after i got it as well. I would pull the cap and rotor off. The part that the wires are connected to on your engine. If it's like mine it will have two clips on either side and then once you pop those off it will just pull off. Look for corrosion inside. I had quite a lot and if it's corroded then you won't send any spark thus no vrummmm vrummm.
