Gauge swap question
Has anyone swaped a gauge form a newer car ? im talking about civics 01 and up into a 90 civic?
I got a gauge cluster from a 02 civic. I got most of the lights to work and got the VSS sensor. But cant seem to get thee guages to work. I read something about a multiplex control unit. Do i need this or is there a nother way to swap the gauge cluster ? Cant seem to find a good diagram for the 02 wiring and still got lots of unkown wires. any help would be good.

Re: Gauge swap question
I have done the 99/00 EM1 (Civic Si) into a CRX. I have not seen any diagrams for the 02's. I'll do some looking around.

Re: Gauge swap question
So, I am out of town for the week and do not have access to Alldata. However, I found this write up for the AP2 S2000 cluster. I know they are different, but might be similar. At least it might give you some ideas.
Write up can be found here. |

Re: Gauge swap question
Thx now know most of the wires. But i think i still need the Multiplex control unit. Just found EP3 manual and it says 1 wire is for speedo , temp and fuel gauges. I should emit a elec. puls. And the CPU on the gauge cluster should translate it to proper V for the gauges.
Just my
