My 2000 chevy Impala LS is making a grinding noise when I try to accelerate and it is not shifting as easily as it used up until hitting 60mph.My traction light is on as well. I just had my right side CV boot replaced and right side wheel bearings replaced. Any suggestions on the issue?

Re: What could that grinding noise be??
The ABS?
Sounds like the ABS is not getting a reading from one of the sensors and thinks one of the front wheels are spinning. It would be easy to read data on a scan tool to see which side is not sending a signal. Are you sure the correct bearing has been installed?

Re: What could that grinding noise be??
Well I was told the ABS sensor is broken on the right passenger side tire. My understanding is that happen when I put 20" chrome rims on my car. Could the ABS sensor have something to do with the grinding noise?

So the ABS light is on as well?
I may have misunderstood your original post. I thought that the traction light was comming on when you where trying to accelerate. It sounds like it is on all the time?
