Oil around spark plugs
I'm considering a 1996 Grand Am that someone wants to give me that needs a lot of work. It's the four cylinder. I hope no one is offended, but that design of the coil pack stuck on the bottom of that shield with the flimsy boots is enough to make a good man use strong language. :-) You need x-ray vision to get it put back together.
Anyway, I took off the cover to get a look at the spark plugs, and I noticed a lot of oil all around the plugs. Would that indicate the need for new valve cover gaskets? That's the only place I could figure that oil would get in there. Does that seem right? |

Re: Oil around spark plugs
I am guessing that would be the problem with oil that is around your spark plugs.
