95.5 air bag

My air bag light, started staying on 95.5 3.2 .
i understand it says have it checked BY THE PROS, and that the system is disabled when the light is on. . is there anything i can check out to see what is going on with it.

My owners manual says the light can mean the sysem is not ready. Is anything else on the wheel not working
