SuperCharger

I need to know if anyone knows where I can find a supercharger for a 1996 Cavalier Z-24. Also I need to know where can I mount my water temperature sending unit for a aftermarket gauge. I know ya'll have heard of the Toyota Cavalier I was wondering if the computer was different than the US version seeing how I got a 1996 Z-24 that can't be tuned. Any info about tuning my car will be appreciated. Thanks Sorry didn't mean to post in the other area

Re: SuperCharger

1) Supercharger GM performance P/N - 12498660

http://paceperformance.com/index.asp...ROD&ProdID=237

This kit is for the 00-02 2.4L's but it still work on earlier years. As far as getting this kit to work with a pre-00 car, read HERE.

2) For your coolant temp sensor, get yourself a t-fitting and go that route.

3) As per your tuning request, snag yourself a PCM/ECU/"engine computer" (everyone calls them something different) from a 97-99 Z24 J-body(Cavalier/sunfire). Just get one with all your cars options (Same transmission is really all u need to worry about). www.car-part.com will help with that. Then you can use HPtuners software for tuning. If you don't want to go that route, you can use an Cartech BEGI FMU. Its not the safest option, but it will work with some tweaking and right injector selection.

I will need to repin the wiring harness if I do that right? Thanks for the info on the supercharger I've seen them but didn't know if it would work.

Steps involved---

1) Unplug old PCM
2) Toss it aside
3) Plug in PCM from newer car
4) Passlock re-learn procedure "Info found here"
5) Start the car.
6) Enjoy a beer!

Pcm's 96-99 are all the same except for the software inside. For some reason the 96's aren't tuneable through HPT whereas the 97-05 J-cars are unlocked.
