97 F150 turn signal

i need help!!! my right turn signal only works when the steering wheel is in the upright position. if i tilt the wheel down to any position, i lose my right turn signal and brake light. Any help is appreciated!!

gotta trace the wires in the column... sounds like they're being "pinched"
