abs problem

hi I'm new here and i got a 1996 cutlass supreme and the abs light is on what should i look at first thanks for the help

Speed sensors and related wiring...but first U need to scan for codes to see what the fault is. Short of doing that is shooting from the hip.

Those early W bodies were known for rear speed sensor and wiring problems...fwiw

thanks i scaned to day no codes for the abs ! just egr and misfire on c #1

You need to use an abs capable scanner. A run of the mill obdII scanner will not read abs codes. Actron has one for about $200 now. If the light is on, there is a code.
