Opinions: 94 gt versus 95 gt

A few years ago I owned a 94 gt with the quad 4 h.o. engine. I didn't want to get rid of it but no mechanics i took the car to seemed to have answers for it's problems so I bought new car. Today I looked at a 95 gt that has the quad 4 dohc engine but it's not a high output engine. What I've looked up shows that the 94 has about 175 hp and 160 torque, while the 95 has 150 hp and 150 torque. It's been so long since I've driven the old car that I can't tell if there's that big of a difference in the 2 cars. I've always been told that when it comes to a fast car that the torque is what matters more, raise that and the horsepower will rise as well. Anyways, since I had that car I always wanted another and since I have a pretty good car right now I wanted to get another grand am so I could work on if it needs it and not worry about it since it won't have to be my daily driver. I'm the type of person that when I get a car, I want the top model or the model that has the strongest engine. But my question still is, is there a big difference between the two? Not only in their power but in their reliability as well. Oh and the 95 gt has a little over 106k miles on it. Any opinions or questions will be helpful, thank you.

The 95 is a hybrid ODO I and II which is hell to get scanned sometimes unless you take it to a shop that can check this system.

As for HP and Torq, the 94 was not that high.
175 HP is what the 99+ 3.4L GA GTs are rated.
