Engine Replacement Questions
I bought a 93 Jeep Wrangler and was looking into replacing the engine. Nothing too wrong with this one, so I am just getting info for now. Anyone have any sugestions on what to get or where to get it? I wanted to work on it from the inside out.

Re: Engine Replacement Questions
What engine do you have, and what do you have in mind?
I to, want to do an engine swap in my 04 Wrangler when the 2.4L gets tired. Was thinking about either a 4.3, or a 5.3 for mine. Need more info

Re: Engine Replacement Questions
I just finished swapping out a 91 4.0 for a 97 4.0. The nicest thing about it was that the Wrangler comes stock with a 4.0. It was nice (and cheap) only having to swap over stock parts or purchase stock parts. I think going with the 4,0 in your case may make for less things needed changing over and less cost. I am running a 4.0 engine on my 91 with 35 inch BF Goodrich tires and have plenty of power. Hope this helps!!

Re: Engine Replacement Questions
If you intend to keep the vehicle, stick with a reman.Jasper is mostly recomended. Most dealers will talk you into a Jasper reman,Jasper is cheaper than Chrysler on reman engines.Adavantage with a Jasper is that you get a 3 year 100,000 mile warranty. Most junkyard engines have a 30 to 90 day warranty
